Died: ?Sima was the daughter of Ephraim Rozovsky (long-distance coach driver, klezmer musician, redhair. Maybe had relatives in the timber trade. Seems to have been Israelite, rather than Cohen, but maybe he was actually Cohen.). Sima's mother was either Ephraim's wife Bertha (Beila?) orEphraim's wife Etel, daughter of Shlioma, born 1813. Two people with exact matches (HVR1 andHVR2) say their earliest matrilineal ancestors were born in Skapiskis, Lithuania, and Lyubcha,Belarus (near Novogorodok).Email address (To use delete [AT] and add @ sign in that position): allbell[AT]vnet.netGuest: KSDate-Time: Monday, August 18, 2003 at 17:09:30 (CDT)Testing Company Used: Private LabHVR1 MtDNA Results: 16184T, 16223T, 16311CMtDNA Haplogroup per HVR1 Results: MHVR2 MtDNA Test Results: Not testedDate MtDNA Test Was Ordered: Jan. 2003Comments: My maternal grandmother died in Guyana but I believe she was born in India. Somepeople in the family say she was from Madrass in Southern India but do not know this for sure?To be honost I didn't know what results to expect for my DNAPRINT since I don't know muchabout my genealogy just that I am of East Indian background from Guyana. As far as I know allmy grandparents were from India and of the Brahmin caste. This is why if anything I would thinkmy results would have been 100% IE. When I think of EA I don't think of East Indians. If anyoneelse is of East Indian background I would like to hear from you. My DNAprint results IE 67%, EA33%.Email address (To use delete [AT] and add @ sign in that position): mseekumar[AT]hotmail.comGuest: Diana AirdDate-Time: Monday, August 18, 2003 at 07:30:19 (CDT)Testing Company Used: Oxford AncestorsHVR1 MtDNA Results: 16129A 16223T 16391AMtDNA Haplogroup per HVR1 Results: IHVR2 MtDNA Test Results: Not testedDate MtDNA Test Was Ordered: September 2002Comments: Oldest known direct line maternal ancestor is my gt-grandmother, Catherine Keogh, born c.1840 in Co. Wicklow, Ireland. I had no expectations of any particular haplogroup. OAactually told me I was Haplogroup X, but after seeking clarification from them as well as readingother available info, I find I am sub-clade I. I have not found anyone else with my 3 mutations sofar. Plenty of people seem to have my 3 mutations plus others, but not just the 3 I have.
