2003 Entries into Kerchner's MtDNA Test Results LogElizabeth CROSS is an undocumented statement from one descendant that Elizabeth was " ofIndian descent, possibly Choctaw." If true this would not be in her direct maternal line asdemonstrated with these mtDNA results. I have evidence of other NA ancestry (Shawnee,Pamunkey)in my father's line. My DNA Print results showed 12%EA and 88%IE. My mother'sDNA print showed 10%EA and 90%IE. My father is deceased but Paleo-DNA Lab in Canada wasable to retrieve mtDNA from the sweatband of his old ballcap. It showed mtDNA Haplogroup Uwith polymorphisms at 16362C, 73G, 146C, 150T, 210G. This is consistent with expectations re:his oldest maternal ancestor, Clarissa JARVIS who was born in VT in 1807 and died in AthensCo., OH in 1886. The lab was also able to retrieve some of my father's nuclear DNA but it wasdegraded and only yielded 3 of the CODIS markers. They are hopeful that useable DNA will befound as their methods improve in the future.Email address (To use delete [AT] and add @ sign in that position): njmay[AT]aol.comGuest: M K MallettDate-Time: Saturday, August 09, 2003 at 09:10:45 (CDT)Testing Company Used: Oxford AncestorsHVR1 MtDNA Results: 16134T, 16356CMtDNA Haplogroup per HVR1 Results: U4HVR2 MtDNA Test Results: Not TestedDate MtDNA Test Was Ordered: March 2002Comments: My oldest known maternal ancestor was reported to have been born in VA in theearly 1700's.
