Shedied 19 Sep 1845 in Stonelick, Clermont Co., OH. Elizabeth married Dennis Smith , bornGermany. She was of German heritage. I am still learning how to read these charts. I understandthat my Haplogroup U* denotes that I am descended from Eve's daughter, Ursula.Email address (To use delete [AT] and add @ sign in that position): bdittig[AT]comcast.netGuest: J ShafferDate-Time: Saturday, November 15, 2003 at 17:43:28 (CST)Testing Company Used: Family Tree DNAHVR1 MtDNA Results: 16214T, 16343G, 16390A, 16519C, 16527TMtDNA Haplogroup per HVR1 Results: U3HVR2 MtDNA Test Results: 73G, 150T, 263G, 309.1C, 315.1CDate MtDNA Test Was Ordered: Oct 2003Comments: Last maternal ancestor Ephema Wiggins, born Georgia, USA about 1810. She isbelieved to be of Scots ancestry, but definitely had maternal ancestry somewhere in the UK. I havefound a few other US women with U3 haplogroup, 16343G and 16390A mutations. All havepresumed recent ancestry in the British Isles. Although the ancestral 16343G mutation arose inthe middle east about 10,000 BC, members of haplogroup U3 have probably been in NW Europesince the neolithic. They traveled by sea through the Mediterranean to North Portugal and on tothe British Isles and Scandanavia. They might have brought wheat and barley cultivation to NWEurope. About 2% of the people in Norway and Scotland are in group U3 today. In the scheme ofBrian Sykes we are the Uma clan.Email address (To use delete [AT] and add @ sign in that position): JShafferMD[AT]aol.comGuest: W.
