Theatre<br />
<strong>Lahti</strong> City Theatre is one of the largest professional<br />
theatre houses in Finland, both in size and capacity,<br />
and in the number of productions and first-nights.<br />
The theatre stages 8-11 new plays or musicals<br />
each year.<br />
Art<br />
<strong>Lahti</strong> has a strong foothold in the world of graphics. The International<br />
<strong>Lahti</strong> Poster Biennial at <strong>Lahti</strong> Art Museum is one of the largest<br />
exhibitions in the world of poster art. Also of international notoriety<br />
is the International Miniprint Finland Miniature Graphics Triennial.<br />
Artist associations are actively at work in the <strong>region</strong>. Each year,<br />
more and more talented artists graduate from <strong>Lahti</strong> University of<br />
Applied Sciences’ Institute of Fine Arts.<br />
