Heinola Town Museum<br />

The Heinola Town Museum offers its visitors local history, interiors<br />

from a 19th century bourgeois home, a medal and coin collection as<br />

well as various themed exhibitions. The museum is located in an<br />

Empire style merchant s house built in 1872.<br />

Hollola Medieval Grey Stone Church<br />

This gothic temple from the 1480s is one of the Finland’s largest<br />

medieval churches.<br />

<strong>Lahti</strong> Art Brewery - Taidepanimo<br />

The exhibition areas in the <strong>Lahti</strong> Art Brewery comprise the former<br />

bottle washing plant, recharging station, honey station, honey cellar<br />

and yeast growing plant. The exhibition centre operates in the oldest<br />

building of the historic Mallasjuoma brewery.<br />

<strong>Lahti</strong> Art Museum<br />

The street level exhibition of the Art Museum includes exchanging<br />

exhibitions from Finland and abroad showing old and new art as well<br />

as graphical design.<br />

<strong>Lahti</strong> Historical Museum<br />

The Historical Museum operates in the former <strong>Lahti</strong> Manor. The<br />

exhibitions mainly focus on local culture from <strong>Lahti</strong> and the Päijät-<br />

Häme <strong>region</strong>. The museum’s collections are made up of items from<br />

the local peasant culture, dating from the first few decades of the<br />

museum’s existence.<br />

Lanu Sculpture Park in Kariniemi Park<br />

Sculpture park of artist, professor Olavi Lanu is located in the Kariniemi<br />

Park in the middle of beautiful Finnish nature. The sculptures have been<br />

manufactured of reinforced concrete. The statues have been coloured by<br />

using concrete colouring agents in the entire concrete mass.<br />

Radio and TV Museum<br />

The Radio and TV Museum’s task is to gather, record, study and<br />

exhibit equipment and traditions of Finnish radio and television<br />

activities. The museum’s collections include more than 10.000 items,<br />

ca. 5.000 photos, ca. 6.000 books and magazines, an extensive<br />

radio amateur QSL card collection, audiovisual material and archives.<br />

Sibelius Hall<br />

The Congress and Concert Centre Sibelius Hall is located in the<br />

Passenger Harbour. Sibelius Hall is also the home arena of the<br />

internationally praised <strong>Lahti</strong> Symphony Orchestra.<br />

Ski Museum<br />

The Ski Museum is located in the <strong>Lahti</strong> Sports Centre at the foot of<br />

the three magnificent ski jumps. The museum focuses on Finnish<br />

winter sports: from skiing to ski jumping, from slalom to snowboarding,<br />

from ice hockey to ice dancing.<br />

Soile Yli-Mäyry Art Castle<br />

The Art Castle is a 19th century brick building of cultural and historical<br />

significance showing colourfull paintings by Soile Yli-Mäyry created<br />

Wood Architecture Park<br />

Near the Sibelius Hall in <strong>Lahti</strong> a unique wood architecture park is being<br />

built, a park which consists of works by award winners of the Spirit of<br />

Nature Wood Architecture Award or of works designed in their honour.<br />

The project has importance both nationally and internationally since the<br />

works of major architects are put together in a small area.<br />
