file a written description of the<br />

problem on the bus discipline form.<br />

At the discretion or interpretation<br />

of the administration, a conference<br />

between the bus driver, the student<br />

and his/her parent/guardian will<br />

ensue.<br />

Improper conduct on the bus will<br />

be treated in the same manner as<br />

conduct in the school and the<br />

same rules will apply.<br />

Getting on an incorrect bus on<br />

purpose will be treated as<br />

improper bus conduct.<br />

OFFENSE<br />

reported to the school<br />

principal. A registered<br />

letter will be sent to the<br />

student=s parents informing<br />

them of the problem, as<br />

well as what procedures<br />

will be followed if a<br />

second or third offense<br />

occurs during the school<br />

year.<br />

i The student will be<br />

excluded from the bus for<br />

a period of five(5) school<br />

days and his parents shall<br />

provide transportation to<br />

and from school during<br />

that period. Absence from<br />

school during this period<br />

will be considered<br />

truancy.<br />

i The student will be<br />

excluded from the bus for<br />

a period of thirty(30)<br />

school days and his<br />

parents shall provide<br />

transportation to and from<br />

school during that period.<br />

Absence from school<br />

during this period will be<br />

considered truancy and<br />

any further infractions will<br />

be subject to an additional<br />

(30) days= suspension of<br />

his/her privileges.<br />

Suspensions will be carried<br />

from year to year,<br />

Returning to the bus requires a<br />

parental conference with the<br />

administration and student. Also,<br />

students must attend school when<br />

bus removal days exceed<br />

suspension days - parent(s) are<br />

responsible to provide<br />

transportation under provisions of<br />

NJ Statutes, Section 18A:25-2.<br />
