<strong>Cameron</strong> <strong>Information</strong> <strong>Sheet</strong> <strong>03</strong>-<strong>005</strong>Subject:<strong>Cameron</strong> Ram Type Blowout Preventers – Optional Ram Wear Pads Designed to ReduceBOP Ram Bore WearPurpose: To provide information on the availability of optional wear pads for rams used in <strong>Cameron</strong>U, UM, UII, T, and TL Blowout Preventers. The wear pads are designed to prevent direct ramcontact with the BOP ram bores and minimize wear on the ram bores.Details: The optional wear pads are designed to be used in modified rams. The 18-3/4”-5M/10M and 15M T and TL rams are supplied as original equipment with wearpads. Rams for the U, UM, UII, and 13-5/8”-10M T/TL BOP must have the ramsmodified to accept the optional wear pads. Modification of the rams can beaccomplished at any <strong>Cameron</strong> CAMSERV facility. Once the ram are modified, theoptional wear pads are attached to the rams using special machine screws.
