The Permittee operating a stationary SI ICE greater than or equal to 500 HP that havenot been certified by an engine manufacturer to meet the emission standards in§60.4231 shall submit an initial notification as required in §60.7(a)(1). Engine information including make, model, engine family, serial number,model year, maximum engine power, and engine displacement;d. Emission control equipment; ande. Fuel used.6. The Permittee operating a stationary SI ICE that is subject to performance testing mustsubmit a copy of each performance test as conducted in §60.4244 within 60 days afterthe test has been completed.F. Testing Procedures [40 CFR 60.4244]1. The Permittee operating a stationary SI ICE required to conduct a performance test(s)shall follow the procedures specified in 40 CFR 60.4244.2. Permit ShieldG. Operating Requirements [40 CFR 60.4243(d)1. The Permittee may operate the emergency stationary ICE for the purposes ofmaintenance checks and readiness testing, provided that the tests are recommended byFederal, State or local government, the manufacturer, the vendor, or the insurancecompany associated with the engine. Maintenance checks and readiness testing of suchunits is limited to 100 hours per year. The Permittee shall petition the Administrator andthe Director for approval of additional hours to be used for maintenance checks andreadiness testing, but a petition is not required if the Permittee maintains recordsindicating that Federal, State, or local standards require maintenance and testing ofemergency ICE beyond 100 hours per year. The Permittee may operate the emergencystationary ICE up to 50 hours per year in non-emergency situations, but those 50 hoursare counted towards the 100 hours per year provided for maintenance and testing. The50 hours per year for non-emergency situations cannot be used for peak shaving or togenerate income for a facility to supply power to an electric grid or otherwise supplypower as part of a financial arrangement with another entity.2. The Permittee is prohibited from operating the emergency ICE for any operation otherthan emergency operation, maintenance and testing, and operation in non-emergencysituations for 50 hours per year.[40 CFR 60.4243(d),R198-2-331.A.3.a][Material Permit Conditions are indicated by underline and italics]3. The Permittee operating a stationary SI natural gas fired engines may operate the engineusing propane for a maximum of 100 hours per year as an alternative fuel solely duringemergency operations, but must keep records of such use.
