ANNUAL REPORT 2010Besides, following the deletion of a regulation on membersecurities companies having to commit to assist registeredcompanies, the number of companies registered onthe market increased significantly, with 109 companiesonboard at the end of 2010, 2.2-fold more than in 2009.Trading registered values par value increased 2.5-fold,from VND3,200 billion in 2009 to VND11,659 billion in2010. Enterprises active on the UPCoM varied in capitalscale and industry, with those from the construction,construction material, industrial, insurance, service andtelecommunication sectors. Many registered companieswith large charter capital, such as PetroVietnam PowerNhonTrach 2 Joint Stock Company (VND2,560 billion),Southern Hydropower Joint Stock Company (VND770billion), Central Hydropower Joint Stock Company(VND688.8 billion) and PFV Investment and Trading JointStock Company (VND600 billion) caught the eye. In 2010,many enterprises successfully raised capital through themarket and registered additional shares totaling nearlyVND310 billion.In 2010, nine registered companies on the UPCoMderegistered to list on HNX. This trend showed the smoothconnection between HNX markets.
