ANNUAL REPORT 2010HNX ACTIVITIESSHAREAUCTIONSIn 2010 share auctions in general, and on HNX specifically,were poor. However, HNX share auctions managed toachieve some bright results amid gloomy forecasts. Thereare 27 companies carried out auctions with 134.7 millionoffered shares, translating into 93.9 million shares soldvalued at VND1,330 billion. The successful auction ratio was87%, equivalent to that of 2009. However, the volume ofoffered shares was 5.2% lower than 2009. A reason for thepoor share auctions was that companies were prudent inselecting times for initial public offerings (IPO).Among 27 share auctions held by HNX, 15 were to privatizeSOEs.
