Membership Benefits & ServicesPromotion of Moldova abroad & Promotion of AmericanTrade and Investment in MoldovaSince its establishment, AmCham has enjoyed a close collaboration with the U.S. Embassyin Moldova.Whether through the direct support of Ambassador Chaudhry and his predecessors, theongoing working relationship with US Embassy Economics Department, Public Affairs Officeand Consular Section, AmCham has benefitted in various ways from this relationship.In 2010, in conjunction with the U.S. Embassy in Moldova, U.S. Foreign Commercial Servicein Bucharest and AmCham Romania, AmCham has organized one of its most remarkableevents of the year –first ever U.S. Business Mission to Moldova.AmCham members are extremely pleased with the service they get from Business VisaFacilitation Program. And, of course, each year, AmCham members and whole AmericanCommunity in Moldova enjoy traditional USA Independence Day Picnic organized througha joined effort of AmCham Moldova and U.S. Alumni Association.In 2010 AmCham has intensified cooperation with the Moldovan Embassy in U.S. Boththe Embassy and AmCham are eager to streamline Moldo-American cooperation. To confirmthe long-lasing intentions of both sides, a Memorandum on cooperation betweenboth parties was signed.By the Memorandum, it was agreed to identify and develop common activities aimingto promote Moldova and Moldovan products in the United States, as well as to attract U.S.investments to Moldova.Among others, Moldovan Embassy has promoted the idea of participation of RM delegationswithin specialized exhibitions in USA. The Embassy is eager and ready to start thecooperation with AmCham in this respect.As a Member of the European Council of American Chambers of Commerce (ECACC),which unites AmChams from all of the European countries, AmCham Moldova participatesin regular ECACC meetings in Washington D.C. and Europe. At these reunions, ECACCMembers get some valuable opportunities to meet with the U.S. and EU officials, as well aswith other senior decision makers, discuss various economic and investment related issuesto further develop trade and investment relations in these countries.32A publication of the American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova
