11. Scheduling Continuing Qualification EvaluationsPURPOSEThis procedure defines the process for ensuring that continuing qualification evaluations arescheduled in the interval specified in the MQTG for the FSTD. This process intends to satisfyrequirements set forth in §60.19(b); Appendices A, B, C, and D section 14.d and 14.e; andAppendix E, Table E1, Elements E1.21, E1.22, and E1.33.e.SCOPEThis policy includes all FSTDs sponsored by [SPONSOR].RESPONSIBILITY_____ is responsible for maintenance and dissemination of this process; _______is/areresponsible for execution.POLICYIn order to maintain qualification of an FSTD, the device must undergo continuingqualification evaluations in the interval specified by the NSP in the MQTG. Attention shouldbe paid to timeliness to ensure qualification does not lapse. Not later than sixty (60) days priorto the next required continuing qualification (as specified in the MQTG), a request must besubmitted to the NSPM for continuing qualification evaluation.PROCEDURE1. Not later than sixty (60) days prior to the next required continuing qualification (asspecified in the MQTG), a request must be submitted to the NSPM for continuingqualification evaluation. The NSP website should be consulted for current forms.2. Coordinate with the NSP scheduler to obtain an evaluation date no earlier than one monthprior to the required continuing qualification date and no later than one month after thatdate.3. Coordinate with maintenance or training organizations to provide a person who is a user ofthe device and knowledgeable in the operation of the aircraft and the operation of theFSTD for the evaluation date.RECORDS RETENTIONThe results of previous three continuing qualification evaluations, or the continuingqualification evaluations from the previous two (2) years, whichever covers a longer period,must be retained.Refer to 25.
