Glossary of TermsDiscrepancy (DR) – A record of an aspect of the FSTD that is not correct with respect to theaircraft being simulated. This includes missing, malfunctioning, or inoperative componentsthat are required to be present and operate correctly for training, evaluation, and experiencefunctions to be creditable. It also includes errors in the documentation used to support theFSTD (e.g., MQTG errors, information missing from the MQTG, or required statements fromappropriately qualified personnel).<strong>Management</strong> Representative (MR) – The person assigned by the sponsor to fulfill the dutiesprescribed in §60.9 and Appendix E.National <strong>Simulator</strong> Program Manager (NSPM) - The FAA manager responsible for overalladministration and direction of the National <strong>Simulator</strong> Program (NSP).<strong>Simulator</strong> <strong>Quality</strong> <strong>Management</strong> System (SQMS) – A flight simulation quality system thatcan be used for improving FSTD consistency with respect to meeting qualificationrequirements for credible flight crewmember training, evaluation, and experience. SQMS andQMS convey the same meaning throughout this document.<strong>Simulator</strong> <strong>Quality</strong> <strong>Management</strong> System Manual (SQMS Manual) – The manual containingpolicies, processes, and work instructions that support the SQMS.
