Overvoltage may result in excessive temperature rise in the motor windings. In case of undervoltage the motor torque decreases in the ratio of
the square of undervoltage divided the standard voltage. Larger voltage variations have therefore to be considered when sizing the actuator.
Operating times
If the actuators are equipped with the
standard 3-phase AC motor, the
operating time is invariably connected
to the supply frequency and
the reduction ratio. The operating
time may only be subsequently
changed by replacing the motor or
the planetary gear.
Operating times for a swing angle of 90°
For part-turn, open-close duty actuators
optionally equipped with a
1-phase AC motor, the operating
time may be adjusted within the set
limits. Part-turn SGR actuators for
modulating duty are only available
with 3-phase AC motors.
