Robin Walton, RN, APRN,BC, EdDRN MemberRobin Walton was born in Huntington, West Virginia and graduated from HuntingtonEast High School. She completed a BSN from Marshall University in 1987. Shegraduated with an MSN from Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky in 1990. Dr.Walton also graduated in 2002 with an EdD in Higher Education Administration fromMarshall University. She then returned to Marshall to complete a post master'scertificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2005.Dr. Walton has served as a staff nurse, charge, nurse, nurse manager and Director ofNursing at Huntington Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia. She has been employed atMarshall University College of Health Professions since 1990. She is currently theCoordinator of the Nursing Administration Track in the MSN program. She is alsoemployed as a nurse practitioner at United Health Professionals in Huntington.Dr. Walton was appointed to the West Virginia Board of Examiners for RegisteredProfessional Nurses in 2006. She is presently serving on the Education Committee.She is currently a member of the American Nurses Association, West Virginia NursesAssociation, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau and theNational League for Nurses.
