<strong>MC80F7708</strong>routine at the execution of a subroutine call instruction orthe acceptance of an interrupt.When returning from the processing routine, executing thesubroutine return instruction [RET] restores the <strong>co</strong>ntents ofthe program <strong>co</strong>unter from the stack; executing the interruptreturn instruction [RETI] restores the <strong>co</strong>ntents of the program<strong>co</strong>unter and flags.The save/restore locations in the stack are determined bythe stack pointer (SP). The SP is automatically decreasedafter the saving, and increased before the restoring. Thismeans the value of the SP indicates the stack locationnumber for the next save.
