CRIME, TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS, FIRESThe presented data on crime and traffic accidents were compiled from data source processed by thePolice Headquarters of the CRCRIMEOther offences include offences of violence, offences against property and against morality, fraudsand other criminal acts.TRAFFIC ACCIDENTSTraffic accident is an event occurring on a road (a car crash etc.) and resulting in death or injury, orcausing property damage, which is directly related to the operation of a vehicle. All accidents of whichthe Police is notified are computer recorded and stored.Excluded for this purpose are events in which a vehicle is damaged, or a person killed or injured,without any connection to a collision with another vehicle, pedestrian, animal or fixed obstacle (e.g.damage during repairs, unloading or loading of a vehicle).For the purpose of computer records, a killed person is a person who died on the spot, duringtransport to hospital, or within 24 hours after the accident. The record is updated if a person involvedin an accident dies in the period from 24 hours to 30 days after the accident occurs.Severe injury is a serious disorder or illness, as classified usually by a physician. Light injury is anyinjury except a severe one.
