Planningpermission was granted for a number <strong>of</strong> extensions and temporary buildings.In 1978 Jones retired and Jack Baldwin took up the Waynflete chair. He was to be the lastWaynflete pr<strong>of</strong>essor associated with the <strong>Dyson</strong> <strong>Perrins</strong> <strong>Laboratory</strong>.
