Roll Call: All School Board Members (Vice Chairman DianeBauer, Chairman Barry Gainer, Member Jeanne Morris, MemberSandra Robinson, and Member Dede Schaffner) were present.Also, present were Superintendent Bill Vogel, Attorney Ned Julianand Clerk Karen Ponder.C. Approval of Agenda including amended Agenda Item IV.I.:Vice Chairman Bauer moved to approve the agenda includingamended Agenda Item IV.I. Member Morris seconded the motion.The motion passed unanimously.II.Future High School Site – Land Acquisition – Contract for Sale andPurchaseSuperintendent’s Recommendation: That the School Board ofSeminole County, by extraordinary vote, exercise its option on the contractto acquire a 71+/- acre site for a future high school at a purchase price of$9,026,000.Board Action: Member Schaffner asked if the land could be used forsomething other than a high school site, if another need is determinedappropriate. Superintendent Vogel modified his recommendation topurchase the land for use as a high school site or other purpose asdeemed appropriate. Member Robinson moved to approve theSuperintendent’s revised recommendation. Member Morris seconded themotion. Chairman Gainer took a roll call vote.
