A two story bayreaches up to the front gable, with tile-hangingboth at first floor level and on the gable apexwall. Above the recessed front porch is abalcony with wooden balustrade. The buildingprovides a contrast to houses such as TyneCottage at number 16, where there is a stronghorizontal emphasis.
