News from our Districts!(In District Order)Buckeye District 11Submitted by: Secretary Marsha SerdenisDistrict 11 Governor Vera Manolakas' WorkshopHeld September 21, 2013 at St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Church, North Royalton, Ohio.District 11 Liaison, Grand Secretary Connie Pilallis (second from right), Grand Governor Zone 2, KathrynTripodis ( back row, second from left), and PGP Elaine Sampanis ( back row 1st right) attended along withother Past District Governors, Lodge and Chapter Officers.Constance "Connie" Kappas is receiving the DOP District #11 Penelopeof the Year Award Pin from District 11 Governor Vera Manolakasat DG Vera's Visitation to the Hera#31 Chapter in October,2013. Sister Connie was chosen for this honor at the BuckeyeDistrict 11 Convention in July, 2013. She has been a Hera #31Chapter Member since her November 16, 2000 initiation.11
News from our Districts!(In District Order)Hoosier District 12State of IndianaDistrict #12 is one of the smallest districts but we are large in “heart and family”.The District Lodges got together in August for a Barbeque and decided this year’s focus would be“Family”. We tossed around ideas and asked “How do we get our “AHEPA Family” back?Our first event was the Fall Workshop, held in Indianapolis. Through the tremendous effort of LaertesChapter #212 we were able to reach our largest representation in many years. “Back to Basics” was ourtheme. We were honored by the presence of our Grand Vice-President and Grand Liaison. We had apresentation from the local Alzheimers’ Association, which is our District Project this year. 50/50 Raffletickets are being sold for $5.00 each with proceeds going toward Alzheimer's’.Our next “Family” event ~ our 1 st “All-District” Christmas that was held at Dynasty Banquets in Hammond,IN on December 7 th . Great food, great friends and visiting the local casino was enjoyed by all. We hope tomake this an annual event.Along with the raffle tickets and our long-standing District Cookbook, we are selling DOP Logo Autocoasters.Have a wonderful Christmas Season!Yours in Theta Pi,Kathy Bizoukas ZotosDistrict Governor No.1212
