Herhusband, Odysseus, was gone—she was left to keep theirhome intact and their son safe. She would PREVAIL.Daughters of Penelope are familiar with the beginning of theorganization. Our founder, Alexandra Apostolidis saw theneed, and what would become the benefit, of a Hellenic women’sorganization. One that would empower women. Shewould PREVAIL.As the theme for this year—PREVAIL—represents the abilityof the sisters of the Daughters of Penelope to reach greaterheights, to be more effective, to become more widespread.Throughout this 1st Edition of the 2014 Penelope Scroll, theachievements of this preeminent organization are presented.It is clear evidence of the love the members have for the missionof the Daughters of Penelope.The Daughters of Penelope do not ask: Can we do this?
