News from our Districts!(In District Order)District 21On the exact date of the founding of the Daughters of Penelope, our Sisterhood gathered with the sistersof Eos#1 to celebrate its birthday. It was truly a day to celebrate the Daughters of Penelope organization,its lodges, its chapters, its goals, its women. It was a day to celebrate Alexandra Apostolides, a womanwho in the 1920’s had a vision and a goal to establish a women’s organization that would rise above allothers. She achieved that goal on November 16, 1929 and it is because of you that our organization isstill thriving, achieving and prevailing. On Saturday, we celebrated you, the women in the room and oursupporters, spouses and children, and those that were not able to be with us that day. Sisters, you havetruly risen to the occasion that our founder Alexandra wanted you to. Continue to assist the communitynear and afar, promote education, cultivate the ideals and traditions of Hellenism and the spirit of Penelope– our sisterhood. Keep achieving and prevailing to better and higher heights.
