Thais Chapter 344, Mobile, ALThe Daughter <strong>of</strong> <strong>Penelope</strong> held the October 2013 Chapter meeting at <strong>Penelope</strong> House. Each memberbrought a new Halloween Costume for a child resident <strong>of</strong> the Shelter and Transitional Living Program.Following the business meeting the costumes were displayed for all to see. There was an abundance <strong>of</strong>costumes for children who may enter shelter at a later date. We also participated with AHEPA in providingHalloween parties at AHEPA Housing projects in the area.<strong>Daughters</strong> celebrated Founders Day in November with a special service and prayer in Church followed byc<strong>of</strong>fee hour in the Community Center.We held our annual Christmas party at the home <strong>of</strong> Kathryn Coumanis on Dec. 2nd. Following dinner everyoneparticipated in playing Dirty Santa. A good time was had by all. We never forget <strong>Penelope</strong> Houseand as is the tradition, all members brought Christmas gifts and gift cards for all the adult residents <strong>of</strong> <strong>Penelope</strong>House. In December we will assist with Christmas parties at all 13 AHEPA Housing ApartmentComplexes and at <strong>Penelope</strong> House complete with a full dinner and appearance by Santa Clause bearinggifts.39
