Several DOP Sisters from Lakewood/Rocky River IcarusChapter #321 and Cleveland Lefkothea #63 (not pictured) attended the Walk.In March, 2013 Icarus Chapter#321 sponsored a fashion show fundraiser contributing $10,000 for Dr.Tuohy's research. At the District 11 Convention in July, 2013, this worthy Vaccine Project was again selectedas a 2013-2014 District Project.The Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute's Breast Cancer Research Project was selected as one ofthe three voluntary National DOP Projects at the Supreme Convention in August, 2013.Dr. Vincent Tuohy's team at the Lerner Research Institute of the Cleveland Clinic is developing a vaccinethat will be used to prevent breast cancer in adult women in the same way vaccines prevent polio andmeasles in children.
