Col. W. T. Lee, who was thrown<br />

down and pretty badly injured by a<br />

mule he was handling, is getting all<br />

right again. He was quite lame and<br />

badly bruised up for the time being.<br />

Miss Hallye Hays had a extended<br />

visit with relatives in Lexington,<br />

where she went as <strong>The</strong> <strong>Pioneer</strong>'s<br />

representative at the Mid-Winter<br />

meeting <strong>of</strong> the Kentucky Press<br />

Association.<br />

Mrs. Jas. F. Smith has rented her<br />

hotel to Tony Logston, <strong>of</strong> Belmont,<br />

for three years. He has taken<br />

possession. Mrs. Smith will return <strong>of</strong><br />

Louisville to live and Mrs. Lillian<br />

Pemberton, her daughter, will shortly<br />

move to Holly Springs, Miss.<br />

Mt. Washington, through her<br />

Commercial Club and energetic<br />

business men, is making a strong<br />

fight to get the trolley line extended<br />

to that place and with fair prospects<br />

<strong>of</strong> success. We hope they will<br />

succeed, they need and deserve the<br />

line. What is Shepherdsville and her<br />

Commercial Club doing in that line?<br />
