� The FIS season accreditation will be valid. Requests for additional accreditation and<br />

parking cards must be sent via the FIS Online System.<br />

� Gällivare B&B, Rum i Gällivare: 85 CHF<br />

� Hotel Porjus (priority 2) with good hotel standard, 40 min from Hellnerstadion:<br />

� Private houses in Gällivare with or without meals: from 60 CHF<br />

� Price for additional accommodation outside of the quota: 125 CHF<br />

4. Transport (World Cup Rules Art. 11)<br />

� Official airport: Lapland Airport Gällivare<br />

� The organising committee will arrange free transportation for teams from Lapland<br />

Airport to the hotel.<br />

� Transfer can be arranged from Kiruna airport to Gällivare at a rate of CHF 80 per<br />

person. The same rate will be charged for a return trip.<br />

� The airline tickets can be booked on www.nextjet.se (Gällivare) and www.sas.se<br />

(Kiruna).<br />

� The arriving time and departure times have to be notified at last 14/11/<strong>2012</strong> in an<br />

online form on www.worldcupgellivare.com.<br />

� The organising committee will arrange free transport service for the teams from<br />

hotel to the venue. Please reserve the transport by calling +46(0)70 204 25 40<br />

� Organising Committee in Kuusamo will arrange bus transfer from Gällivare to<br />

Kuusamo after the competition. Departure is Monday morning 26/11/<strong>2012</strong>. Detailed<br />

information you will find in this booklet under Kuusamo.<br />

5. Payment (World Cup Rules Art. 10 and 13)<br />

� Accommodation costs: <strong>Team</strong>s will pay directly in their hotels (persons from the pay<br />

lists will be paid by the OC).<br />

� Carrying costs/Reimbursement:<br />

� Forms for carrying costs/reimbursement will be collected on Friday 23/11/<strong>2012</strong><br />

in connection to TCM at Dundret Björnfällan 16:00-18:00<br />

� All payment will be done by bank transfer<br />

6. Waxing facilities (World Cup Rules Art. 14)<br />

� Wax cabins: available from 19/11/<strong>2012</strong> at 13:00<br />

� Waxing trucks: teams arriving with trucks have to inform the OC before 12/10/<strong>2012</strong><br />

� Keys to wax cabins can be picked up at Race Office, Hellnerstadion.<br />

7. Pre training camp and competition<br />

� Saturday, 17 th November Gällivarepremiären will take place at Hellnerstadion. It´s a<br />

FIS competition on the World Cup tracks<br />

� The import, export and the operation of radio equipment in Sweden is regulated by<br />

national law. Permits for the use of radio transmission equipment must be<br />

requested according to national specifications.<br />

� Remember that citizens of some countries will need visa for visiting Sweden. Please<br />

� Three star hotel Rantasipi Rukahovi:<br />

130 € single, 97 € per person in double room<br />

� Three star apartments (RukaTonttu, RukaSuites, AurinkoRinne, RukaVillage,<br />

Rantasipi apartments) in the venue:<br />

97 € per person (minimum number of persons occurs)<br />

� Price for additional accommodation outside of the quota: 97 € per person in double<br />

room or apartment (minimum number of persons occurs)<br />

� Price for additional single rooms outside of the quota: 130 €<br />

� Accommodation without meals is available in cottages and apartments which are<br />

located in 4-6 km’s distance from the venue. Prices are depending on the<br />

cottage/apartment. Additionally we can offer you limited amount of Rantasipi<br />

apartments without meals for the price 57 eur/person/night (minimum number of<br />

persons per apartment occur). Apartments are located 600 m from the venue.<br />

4. Transport (World Cup Rules Art. 11)<br />

� Official airport: Kuusamo and Oulu<br />

� The organising committee will arrange transportation between the airports and the<br />

hotels. 1 transport free of charge. Price for additional transport:<br />

� 180 € for Kuusamo airport (up to 7 persons=180 €, 8-17 p.=245 €)<br />

� 615 € for Oulu airport (up to 7 persons=615 €, 8-17 p.=725 €)<br />

� Information to the Shuttle service<br />

Hotels – venue: no shuttle service (all accommodation in walking distance)<br />

Transport from Gällivare to Kuusamo is available for CC teams. Requests for<br />

transportation must be sent to seppo.linjakumpu@nordicopening.com until<br />

20/11/<strong>2012</strong>. Transport will be 26/11/<strong>2012</strong> at 09:00. The price of the journey is 70<br />

€/person if there are 10-30 passengers and 50 €/person if there are more than 30<br />

passengers. More buses will be available if there are more than 50 or 100<br />

passengers. Each team will pay its own journey at Kuusamo event center.<br />

5. Payment (World Cup Rules Art. 10 and 13)<br />

� Accommodation costs: <strong>Team</strong>s will pay directly in the accommodation office until<br />

01/12/<strong>2012</strong> (persons from the pay lists will be paid by the OC).<br />

� Carrying costs/Reimbursement:<br />

� Payment on Friday 30/11/<strong>2012</strong> in financial office (media center) at 18:00<br />

� All payment will be done by bank transfer<br />

6. Waxing facilities (World Cup Rules Art. 14)<br />

� Wax cabins: available from 26/11/<strong>2012</strong> at 08:00<br />

� Waxing trucks: teams arriving with trucks have to inform the OC before 18/10/<strong>2012</strong><br />

� The keys to the cabins are available at the competition office. The deposit is 100<br />

€/team. Keys return to Ski Cafe/service area on the day of departure.<br />

� Parking cards can be picked up at the competition office same time with the keys.<br />

7. Regulations of radio equipment<br />

� The import, export and the operation of radio equipment in Finland is regulated by<br />

national law. Permits for the use of radio transmission equipment must be requested<br />

according to national specifications. Deadline for the radio licence<br />

application is 16th November <strong>2012</strong> and is to be sent to FICORA directly<br />

:radiotaajuudet@ficora.fi or fax +358 9 6966 410. Information: www.ficora.fi<br />

� The FIS season accreditation will be valid. Requests for additional accreditation and<br />

parking cards must be sent via the FIS Online System.<br />

� The FIS System accreditation will be used in Canmore. In order to avoid additional<br />

work for yourselves and the local OC please make sure all staff and athletes bring<br />

their FIS accreditation and FIS bibs. If any of your staff do not have FIS Season<br />

The following four hotels (in alphabetical order) are the “official” hotels for the Alberta<br />

World Cup <strong>2012</strong>, with special rates and services that have been negotiated by the<br />

Organising Committee. Please assist us by indicating your hotel preference(s) when<br />

you register with FIS via the online system. The rate quotes below are in Canadian<br />

dollars, and include all meals and taxes.<br />

a) Radisson Hotel (www.radisson.com/canmore-hotel-ab-t1w1n7/abcanmor)<br />

$125- per person double occupancy; $175 - per person single occupancy.<br />

The Radisson Hotel and Conference Center is situated right in the heart of the<br />

majestic Canadian Rocky Mountains and only a few minutes' walk to downtown<br />

Canmore. Our 164 well-appointed guest rooms all feature breathtaking views of the<br />

mountains while providing essential amenities such as complimentary newly<br />

upgraded HSIA. Our onsite restaurant, Vic's Steakhouse & Bar, offers wide variety<br />

of menu offerings to enjoy and indulge in tantalizing meals. Our experienced Chef<br />

and culinary team can adapt and create menu specific meals that will cater to top<br />

performing athletes from around the world with the advice from the culinary teams<br />

The Chateau Canmore welcomes each guest to feel at home in one of our 67 One<br />

Bedroom Suites. The large bedroom includes 2 double beds, each adorned with<br />

soft linen and pillows for ultimate sleeping comfort, or alternatively enjoy one of our<br />

20 King suites that includes a King Size bed. Every Deluxe Suite features a gas<br />

fireplace, a television in both the bedroom and the living room, and views of the<br />

majestic Rocky Mountains. For guest convenience, each suite contains a<br />

refrigerator and microwave in the living room.<br />

Holiday Inn Canmore is renovated with all the new Holiday Inn trademarks. We offer<br />

generously proportioned Guest Rooms with two Queen Beds, King, Loft and jetted<br />

tub. Free wireless high-speed internet access in all guest rooms, full service<br />

restaurant, 24 fitness room, equipment storage, outdoor hot tub, in-room dining<br />

d) Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge (www.rockyski.com)<br />

Rates starting from $120 per person double occupancy; $157 per person single<br />

occupancy. (Wide variety of room configurations available).Welcoming, clean and<br />

customer service-oriented, the Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge offers standard rooms<br />

and apartment condominiums with fully-equipped kitchens and gas fireplaces.<br />

Amenities include wax rooms, Jacuzzi, sauna, laundry room, barbecues, free<br />

wireless Internet access and great mountain views. Fifteen-year recipient of the<br />

Alberta Housekeeping Award. Note- the room matrix from the RMSL includes many<br />

configurations. The restaurant providing board is Chez Francois, located beside the<br />

lodge, a short walk outside.<br />

All are located a short walk from downtown Canmore. A Map of Canmore showing<br />

Accommodation will be available from Sunday December 9 th until Monday December<br />

17 th . Bookings before and after these dates are also possible, based on hotel availability.<br />

Please include your hotel preference, as well as arrival and departure dates.<br />

The team package will include:<br />

� Accommodation and meal package as per FIS guidelines.<br />

� Additional single rooms outside of FIS guidelines are available at the rates listed for<br />

each hotel.<br />

� Three buffet meals daily at the hotel or nearby; the hours of service will recognize<br />

race schedules.<br />

� Bagged lunches will be available from the hotels by request the night before<br />

needed.<br />

� <strong>Team</strong>s may make additional meal requests with the hotel at their own costs.<br />

The Accommodation details must be completed on the FIS Online system by October 31 st<br />

<strong>2012</strong>. For Room cancelation the FIS World Cup Rule 13.1 applies.<br />

4. Transport (World Cup Rules Art. 11)<br />

The Organising Committee will provide one arrival/departure transfer from the Calgary<br />

International Airport per team according to FIS regulations.<br />

� Please use the FIS online system to indicate your team travel arrangements. If you<br />

are renting a vehicle, please indicate this so your team may be given a parking pass<br />

from the Race Office.<br />

� Price for additional transport:<br />

� Approx $55.00 per person CDN from Calgary airport<br />

A shuttle service will be provided between the official accommodations and the<br />

If you are bringing radio equipment, the Canadian Government may require on-site<br />

radio inspection in order to confirm use of approved radio frequencies.<br />

point 13.2 applies. This means that the respective National Ski Association has to<br />

pay the difference between effective and reserved rooms (tolerance 10%).<br />

� <strong>Team</strong>s wishing to take care of their own accommodation arrangements are<br />

welcome to do so but will take over full responsibility for all details and cannot<br />

expect receiving the above-mentioned rates.<br />

4. Transport (World Cup Rules Art. 11)<br />

� For Stage-to-Stage transportation, the teams must have their own vehicles and are<br />

independent. There will be no transportation organised by the Organising<br />

Committees from venue to venue. The teams have right for one free transport from<br />

the first airport (before the first stage from Frankfurt to Oberhof) and to the final<br />

airport (after the last stage). For Oberhof please contact Christopher Gellert<br />

need a special permission to be able to drive in Germany on Sunday.<br />

� Please refer to the Tour Manual with route book and course information, which will<br />

be online available on fiscrosscountry.com for travel directions from a Tour Stage to<br />

another. Alternatively, you may consult www.viamichelin.com.<br />

point 13.2 applies. This means that the respective National Ski Association has to<br />

pay the difference between effective and reserved rooms (tolerance 10%).<br />

5. Payment (World Cup Rules Art. 10 and 13)<br />

� Financial conditions apply as stated in the FIS World Cup Rules. The teams are<br />

requested to pay all their hotel expenses for all team members - including Red<br />

Group athletes and eligible coaches directly at the hotel<br />

� The organisers pay for the travel and living costs (accommodation, food etc.)<br />

according to the conditions mentioned in the World Cup rules.<br />

Travel costs will be paid once and by bank transfer by the organisers to the teams<br />

at the last resort. The Red Group List and their qualified coaches get free<br />

accommodation, for at least two nights before the first FIS TOUR DE SKI<br />

competition until at least the morning after the last FIS TOUR DE SKI competition.<br />

6. Waxing facilities (World Cup Rules Art. 14)<br />

� Wax cabins: available from 31/12/<strong>2012</strong> at 15:00<br />

� Waxing trucks: teams arriving with trucks have to inform the OC before 06/10/<strong>2012</strong><br />

7. Regulations of radio equipment<br />

� The import, export and the operation of radio equipment in Italy is regulated by<br />

national law. Permits for the use of radio transmission equipment must be<br />

requested according to national specifications.<br />

1. Accreditation and visa support<br />

The accreditation/visa form, photos and copies of all valid travel passports should be<br />

submitted to the Organizers by a designated responsible organization<br />

(federation/team) no later than November 30, <strong>2012</strong>. Individual applications will not be<br />

accepted.<br />

The passport is required to be valid at least six months after the visa expiry date. Visa<br />

support may be granted for all the participants including substitutes. Please list all<br />

participants who could potentially attend the event including athletes, team officials, and<br />

service personnel.<br />

Accreditation/visa form can be downloaded from test event website:<br />

Special arrangements have been made to allow participants in <strong>2012</strong>-<strong>2013</strong> test events to<br />

apply for Russian visas in countries other than their countries of residence. The list of<br />

Russian Consular offices can be found at: http://www.mid.ru/zu_r.nsf/strawebeng. You<br />

can receive the visas on the same day. But note that terms and conditions (such as list<br />

of required documents, passport validity period, visa fees, visa issuing period, working<br />

days/hours of the Consular office, etc.) may vary from one country to another. Every<br />

Embassy/Consulate reserves the right to require additional documents to process your<br />

application.<br />

Due to the test event and the security restrictions before the Olympics the own<br />

accreditation system of the OC will apply only.<br />

The accreditation office will be located at the Gondola station Psekhako Ridge.<br />

3. Accommodation (World Cup Rules Art. 13)<br />

Two hotels have been booked for <strong>Team</strong>s accommodation during the FIS World Cup<br />

<strong>Cross</strong>-<strong>Country</strong> in Sochi:<br />

� Psekhako Ridge Cottages 3* (located at a height of 1,400 meters, in direct proximity<br />

to the "Laura" <strong>Cross</strong> <strong>Country</strong> Ski and Biathlon Center)<br />

� Park Inn Rosa Khutor 4* hotel complex (located within walking distance from the<br />

lower station of the cable car route)<br />

Rates:<br />

� maximum Room Rate for FIS World Cup team members inside of the quota: 125<br />

CHF per person per night in double room. Full Board is included.<br />

� room Rate for participants & guests outside of the defined quota: according to hotel<br />

rates<br />

� additional single rooms outside of FIS quota upon request only, subject of<br />

availability<br />

� all taxes are included.<br />

� the team size with number of rooms should be given through the FIS Online<br />

Registration System not later than December 21th, <strong>2012</strong><br />

� The final size of the team must be given before January 22nd, <strong>2013</strong> with the<br />

tolerance +/- 10% (FIS World Cup Rules point 13.2). In case the team size has<br />

been changed by <strong>Team</strong>s more than 10 % after January 22nd a room cancellation<br />

fee to the National Ski Association applies for the additional cancelled rooms.<br />

The distribution of the teams between cottages and hotel will be made in close<br />

collaboration with FIS.<br />

7. Regulations of radio equipment<br />

Sochi Organising Committee (OCOG) and the Federal Service for Supervision in the<br />

Sphere of Telecom, Information Technologies and Mass Communications (Regulator)<br />

have been working together to plan, coordinate and license all radio frequency devices<br />

that will be used during the Games.<br />

Ordering<br />

Test Events attendees requiring radio frequencies (RF) must register their equipment<br />

for frequency coordination utilizing the Spectrum order portal (SOP) – a part of Rate<br />

Card.<br />

Users that want to utilize wireless equipment during Test Events need to apply for<br />

frequency coordination in SOP starting from October 1, <strong>2012</strong>.<br />

Users are strongly encouraged to apply early due to the limited availability of radio<br />

resources.<br />

Applications can be made at ratecard.sochi2014.com<br />

When applying for Spectrum, users will need to provide specific information on their<br />

equipment, period and location of use.<br />

There will be no fee for Spectrum applications.<br />

Radio Equipment Validation<br />

Sochi OCOG and the Regulator will carry out equipment validation for all radio<br />

frequency equipment to be used during the Test events.<br />

8. Training on the competition courses<br />

Training is for the athletes and team members from 28 th January to 3 rd February <strong>2013</strong><br />

possible. Afterwards, from 4 th to 9 th February <strong>2013</strong>, the course (testing area and the part<br />

of free teqnique course) will be open for ski testing but only for staff and industry. Hotel<br />

bookings and shuttle arrangements can be done directly with the hotels in Rosa Khutor.<br />

For wax containers and the booking of accommodation in cottages at Psekhako in the<br />

period of 4 th to 9 th February, an application has to be sent to Elena Mokerova (Svod-<br />

Inernational) e.mokerova@svod-int.ru before 21 st December <strong>2012</strong>.<br />

ATA Carnet<br />

The ATA Carnet is an international document for the temporary, duty-free admission of<br />

goods. With the ATA Carnet Swiss and foreign customs formalities are completed<br />

using one form. The ATA Carnet can be obtained from Chambers of Commerce and<br />

Industry and releases the holder from any obligation to provide a guarantee when<br />

The ATA Carnet may be used for several border crossings and is valid for one year.<br />

Instead of national customs documents, the ATA Carnet can be used for imports,<br />

exports and transits purposes. The advantage is the swift passage through customs.<br />

The ATA Carnet has a uniform appearance for all contracting parties to the Convention<br />

on Temporary Admission of 26 June 1990 (the so-called Istanbul Convention).<br />

It can be used in more than 60 countries.<br />

When opening the ATA Carnet, the complete description of the goods must be (cover<br />

The teams will pay for the accommodation in the reimbursement/financial office at<br />

Holmenkollen Park Hotel. The rooms used by persons from the pay lists will be paid<br />

by the OC directly. <strong>Team</strong>s (team captains) will pay directly to the hotels for all<br />

extras (room service, movies, from bar, etc).<br />

� Carrying costs/reimbursement:<br />

The Reimbursement/Financial Office is located close to the Service Center and will<br />

be open from Friday-Sunday 08.30-18.00.<br />

The team captains should make an appointment in advance (such that information<br />

and forms can be prepared).<br />

Prize money will be sent directly to the athlete after signature has been received (in<br />

person at the reimbursement/financial office).<br />

All payment will be done by bank wire transfer.<br />
