Paul tried his hand as a cheesemaker and even as a fire fighter beforevisiting Box Hill Institute’s Open Day. Thisvisit lead Paul to learn more about designstudy options which would satisfy his hungerto learn more about technical design theory.“If you work out what your goals are andyou are passionate and committed, youcan succeed” said Paul. In 2011, Paul wascommissioned to produce two large muralsfor the Healesville Music Festival and alsoheld his first solo exhibition at the Gilded Lilyin Healesville.He also found time to run a series ofart workshops in Central Australia forindigenous youth with Traditional HealthCare,a not for profit organisation.“Box Hill Institute provided a great start tomy career. The course gave me the relevanttechnical skills and knowledge required toget into the industry at a leading advertisingagency,” Paul said.Benefiting from the various work placementshe did during the course, Paul said, “Theteachers encouraged us to get out inindustry, to get some ‘real’ experience.
