It should have such a design that theperson on the wheelchair can reach and fold up the sheet <strong>to</strong> clear the way<strong>for</strong> the wheelchair if a previous user <strong>for</strong>got <strong>to</strong> fold it.The floor should be non-slip even when wet.When you build a drainage channel, design the layout so it does not tripthe visually handicapped or physically disabled.There should be no difference in the level of the floor as it obstructs themove of the aged and physically handicapped.A call but<strong>to</strong>n should be installed so that a person can press it from 1) the<strong>to</strong>ilet seat, 2) the wheelchair be<strong>for</strong>e moving over <strong>to</strong> the <strong>to</strong>ilet, and 3) afallen position on the floor. It must have a <strong>for</strong>m easy <strong>to</strong> use even <strong>for</strong> a person having difficulty movingtheir fingers[Toilets]Article 122.At lease one of the restrooms, when installed, shall con<strong>for</strong>m <strong>to</strong> one of the following standards.1)A <strong>to</strong>ilet booth with barrier-free access shall be provided <strong>for</strong> wheelchair users, the aged, the physicallyimpaired and the like, one each <strong>for</strong> men and women if they are separated.2)A restroom shall have the structure with barrier-free access <strong>for</strong> wheelchair users, the aged, the physicallyimpaired and the like.Article 131.A restroom with a <strong>to</strong>ilet booth as prescribed in Article 12 Item 2-1) shall con<strong>for</strong>m <strong>to</strong> the following standards.1)At lease one passage between a pathway with barrier-free access and the pathway <strong>to</strong> a restroom shallcon<strong>for</strong>m <strong>to</strong> standards prescribed in Article 4 Item 5.2)The effective width of the entrance/exit shall be 80 cm or more.3)There shall be no level difference at the entrance that hinders the passage of wheelchair users. However, thisdoes not apply when there is a ramp.4)There shall be a display at the entrance showing that there is a <strong>to</strong>ilet booth with barrier-free use <strong>for</strong>wheelchair users, the aged, the physically impaired and the like.5)When a door is provided at the entrance, it shall con<strong>for</strong>m <strong>to</strong> the following standards.i)The effective width shall be 80 cm or more.ii)The door shall have a structure <strong>for</strong> wheelchair users, the aged, the physically impaired and the like <strong>to</strong>open/shut and pass easily.iii)A <strong>to</strong>ilet booth shall have a sufficient space <strong>for</strong> a wheelchair user.2.A <strong>to</strong>ilet booth prescribed in Article 12 Item 2-1) shall con<strong>for</strong>m <strong>to</strong> the following standards.1)There shall be no level difference at an entrance that hinders the passage of wheelchair users.2)There shall be a display at an entrance that shows there is a <strong>to</strong>ilet booth with barrier-free use <strong>for</strong> wheelchairusers, the aged, the physically impaired and the like.3)A <strong>to</strong>ilet seat and a handrail shall be installed.4)A <strong>to</strong>ilet booth with a barrier-free structure shall be provided <strong>for</strong> wheelchair users, the aged, the physicallyimpaired and the like.3.Items 1-2), 1-5) and 1-6) shall be applied correspondently <strong>to</strong> the <strong>to</strong>ilet booth prescribed in the previousparagraph.
