Scratch Animation<br />
Creativity is expressed through technology using<br />
Scratch s<strong>of</strong>tware by MIT. Mathematical and<br />
computational ideas are stressed while children<br />
use this multimedia tool to create interactive video<br />
games, stories, music and artwork.<br />
Speaking Confidently<br />
Learn to express yourself confidently in public.<br />
Supportive group exercises are aimed at helping put<br />
more punch in your arguments, style and delivery.<br />
Study Skills<br />
Put organization into your learning by improving your<br />
study habits. Develop skills in listening, following<br />
directions and test taking. Topics include taking notes,<br />
time management, test preparation and motivation.<br />
Supervision—Parkview Elementary School and<br />
Naperville Yellow Box<br />
Supervision is available for students taking both<br />
morning and afternoon enrichment classes. A program<br />
aide will supervise students from 7-9 a.m., during lunch<br />
(11:20 a.m.-12:30 p.m.), and 3-6 p.m. Students may<br />
bring a sack lunch or purchase a lunch at Parkview.<br />
The Naperville Yellow Box location does not have a<br />
cafeteria, so students should bring a sack lunch.<br />
Violent Earth<br />
Investigate powerful forces that change the earth:<br />
earthquakes, volcanoes, geysers, sinkholes and<br />
mudslides. Conduct research integrating hands-on<br />
construction projects, literature, computer s<strong>of</strong>tware<br />
