We would like to have e-mail addresses for
as many of our members as possible. If
you have e-mail and have not supplied it
to us, would you consider doing so? Please note
that you will still receive The Guide by mail with
details of all the programs. Everyone receives the
printed version, so you will still have a paper
copy to thumb through and enjoy!
Here is the reason why we would appreciate
your e-mail address: The new board, when
elected, promised open communication with our
members. We want to send out newsletters on a
regular basis, and e-mail is the most efficient
way to do it. E-mail is free, and it takes about an
hour of staff time to set up the newsletter and
send it on its way to more than 800 members
who have email.
A mailed newsletter, by contrast, costs $1.25
per item by the time the cost of paper and envelope,
printing, stamp and tax is taken into account
– a total cost of $750. Plus, it keeps two
volunteers busy for four hours each to stuff and
stamp the envelopes to nearly 600 members.
We realize that not all of you have e-mail. We
will certainly continue to mail newsletters to
you, but it would be helpful if those that do have
e-mail and do not mind giving it to us would do
so. Send an e-mail to info@crm.mb.ca.
We promise you will not be inundated with emails,
just the newsletter and a monthly update
to keep you informed of what is going on at
CRM. We will not share your e-mail address with
any other organization.
Also, you will continue to receive The Guide,
detailing all the programs, by regular mail.
