road safety rules; learn defensive driving techniques and how<br />

to compensate for age-related changes such as hearing, vision<br />

and flexibility.<br />

This year the Gilbert and Sullivan Society production will be<br />

Iolanthe, a story of fairies and the English House of Lords. Prepare<br />

to increase your enjoyment of it by getting acquainted with<br />

the storyline, the music and the Victorian references in the<br />

opera. Class members will have an opportunity to purchase tickets<br />

for the matinee performance on Saturday March 31 at special<br />

group rates.<br />

Pyramids on the Prairie 3015<br />

Pyramids on the Prairie, a documentary by George Siamandas,<br />

discusses the early history of Winnipeg, reveals the rapid growth<br />

of downtown Winnipeg at the turn of the century and shows<br />

the architecture still to be found in the Exchange District designed<br />

by some of North America’s most distinguished architects.<br />

Included are architectural tours of buildings showing<br />

their lavish interiors and the strides made by investors and developers<br />

in the 1990s. There will be ample opportunity for questions<br />

and discussion following the film.<br />
