adults and how ageing can impact your driving at the workshop
hosted by Safety Services Manitoba. Discover tips that
will improve your driving abilities so you can drive safely as
long as possible. Update your knowledge of traffic laws and
road safety rules; learn defensive driving techniques and how
to compensate for age-related changes such as hearing, vision
and flexibility.

Manitoba Chamber Orchestra
Open Dress Rehearsals

music during the day! These 50-minute open dress
rehearsals are the perfect way to hear the greatest
chamber music of all time and learn what goes into
presenting a professional orchestral performance.

with some stopping and starting, but interesting
and enjoyable!

Gilbert and Sullivan’s Iolanthe 3902

This year the Gilbert and Sullivan Society production will be
Iolanthe, a story of fairies and the English House of Lords. Prepare
to increase your enjoyment of it by getting acquainted with
the storyline, the music and the Victorian references in the
opera. Class members will have an opportunity to purchase tickets
for the matinee performance on Saturday March 31 at special
group rates.

Pyramids on the Prairie 3015

Pyramids on the Prairie, a documentary by George Siamandas,
discusses the early history of Winnipeg, reveals the rapid growth
of downtown Winnipeg at the turn of the century and shows
the architecture still to be found in the Exchange District designed
by some of North America’s most distinguished architects.
Included are architectural tours of buildings showing
their lavish interiors and the strides made by investors and developers
in the 1990s. There will be ample opportunity for questions
and discussion following the film.
