“Welcom<strong>in</strong>g PhD students from more than<br />
20 countries, <strong>the</strong> PhD programme offers a<br />
unique opportunity <strong>to</strong> exchange academic<br />
and cultural experience on campus <strong>in</strong><br />
Fonta<strong>in</strong>ebleau, as well as <strong>in</strong> S<strong>in</strong>gapore and at<br />
Whar<strong>to</strong>n. Com<strong>in</strong>g from Kazakhstan, and hav<strong>in</strong>g<br />
lived <strong>in</strong> Turkey and Mozambique, I can say that<br />
I could not <strong>have</strong> arrived <strong>in</strong> a place more open<br />
<strong>to</strong> and appreciative of differences than <strong>INSEAD</strong>.<br />
I found exceptional diversity pronounced not<br />
only <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> multitude of cultures represented<br />
<strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> student body, but also <strong>in</strong> research areas<br />
pursued by <strong>the</strong> market<strong>in</strong>g faculty.”<br />
“This year we launched our programme with<br />
lead<strong>in</strong>g US design school, Art Center, on our<br />
Asia campus. We converted a flat room <strong>for</strong>merly<br />
used <strong>for</strong> traditional bus<strong>in</strong>ess education <strong>in</strong><strong>to</strong> a<br />
design studio where both MBA participants and<br />
design students develop new products and<br />
services. <strong>With</strong>out this dedicated space <strong>to</strong><br />
nurture <strong>in</strong>novation practices among MBA and<br />
design students our goal of br<strong>in</strong>g<strong>in</strong>g <strong>to</strong>ge<strong>the</strong>r<br />
<strong>the</strong>se two discipl<strong>in</strong>es would not be achieved.<br />
