THE TORAH / BIBLE LEADS US TO SHABBATYeshua tells us that Shabbat was made for man i.e. we see that there is asense that this day is some sort of gift / delight.But would man know how to get there? What are the road signs that wouldlead the way?To understand this better we have to study the “place” that God put man in –the Garden of Eden.Genesis 2:8 “ 8 And the Lord God planted a garden toward the east, in Eden[delight]; and there He put the man whom He had formed (framed,constituted).Genesis 2:15 “ 15 And the Lord God took the man and put him in the Gardenof Eden to tend and guard and keep it.Let’s look at some of these words in more detail.God plants – Hebrew 5193 – “nata” - and means:• establish,• cause to grow,• stretch outIn a garden – Hebrew 1588 / 1598 – “ganan” - and means:• to surround and hover over,• to protect or defend.Of Eden – Hebrew 5731 – “ayden” – and means:• delightThe picture word formed by the Hebrew letters looks something like this:Ayen a visible / manifestDalet d pathwayNun Sofit n son / heir / the MessiahThis word tells us that in Eden we could see, comprehend, and understandthe visible road signs / markers which showed the way to the Messiah.24
