Further, the concerned Head Master <strong>and</strong> Teachers supervisecleanliness <strong>and</strong> serving of meals to the students. In addition the prepared mealis tasted by the concerned teacher /H.M. to ensure that the food is safe <strong>and</strong> tobe consumed by students. Mothers of the students visit the schools <strong>and</strong> taste themeals <strong>and</strong> give their comments in a register maintained at school level.UT Administration is also supervising the serving of meals. The same isbeing carried out by District Level Committee, VEC, MTA/PTA, E.O.A.E.O.(DP).2.10 Procedure <strong>and</strong> status of construction of kitchen-cum-store.The Government of India MHRD, Deparment of School Education <strong>and</strong>Literacy MDM Division regarding revision of cost of construction of kitchencum-storeunder the National <strong>Programme</strong> of <strong>Mid</strong>-<strong>Day</strong> <strong>Meal</strong> has alreadyapproved for sharing contribution of 75.25 (Centre <strong>and</strong> UT). Accordingly,proposal is already approved by the UT Administration for UT share <strong>and</strong> forthe reasoning centre share <strong>and</strong> for the central share Ministry of HRD, MDMDivision has been intimated for release of Central Assistance for theconstruction of 100 kitchen-cum-store for the year 2011-12 but fund is notreleased. No construction of kitchen sheds in current year.2.11 Procedure of procurement of kitchen devices from (i) funds released underthe <strong>Mid</strong> <strong>Day</strong> <strong>Meal</strong> <strong>Programme</strong> (ii) other sources.Kitchen devices are procured as per the requirement received fromvarious MDM Centres, after observing codal formalities, the supplier directlydistributes to the concern schools as per their requirement. Generally, theMinistry allots limited amount for procurement of kitchen devices accordinglythe supply order is placed.We propose to provide kitchen devices to 86 Upper Primary schools Rs.11600/- per school total Rs. 10.00 lakhs.We propose to provide refrigerator systems to preserve green vegetablematerials in all the <strong>Mid</strong> <strong>Day</strong> Centres duing <strong>2012</strong>-<strong>13</strong> primary schools number ofschools 282 is Rs. 10000/- per piece. Total amount Rs. 28.20 lakhs.2.12 Capacity building <strong>and</strong> training conducted for different categories ofpersons involvedin the <strong>Mid</strong> <strong>Day</strong> <strong>Meal</strong> <strong>Programme</strong>.This is pertaining to Management Monitoring <strong>and</strong> Evaluation.
