It is donewithin the time.2.16 Details of Evaluation studies conducted by State/UTs and summary of itsfindings.Local Mahila Mandal body/Parents are involved in evaluation process todetermine the low utilization of foodgrains and standard of meals at schoollevel. Children are happy with the meals served. For external evaluation somenutrition experts are engaged to monitor the efficiency of programme. Foodand Nutrition Board, Silvassa inspected the schools and gave the report thatmeal is served as per the nutritive value as shown in the guideline.2.17 Brief write up on best practices followed in the State.In all the schools where Mid Day Meals is served children of all thecastes and communities sit together and have meals in spirit of camaraderiewithout any feeling of resentment towards one another. All the children washhands and say prayers before meals. The children wash their plates. In all theschools teachers are actively in the supervision of meals and a visitors books ismaintained and opinions of PTA/MTA and VEC members are recordedregarding Mid Day Meals scheme.2.18 Instances of unhygienic food served, children falling ill, sub-standardsupplies,diversion/misuse of resources, social discrimination and safetymeasures adopted to avoid recurrence of such incidents.There is no instance of unhygienic food served neither any instance of childrenfalling ill. The concerned teacher/head master checks the food items supplied.List of brands of the food items is given to them by the Department. Theycheck the brand and the expiry date before accepting the food items. There isno diversion neither misuse of resources reported so far. In this UT there doesnot exist social discriminations. All the children belonging to different casteand communities sit together in a spirit of camaraderie and have meals.We have built a Redressal Mechanism System in the Educaiton Sectionof District Panchayat. The concerned teacher calls the E.O.(DP), the CEO(DP)and the supervisor for any problem regarding implementation of the scheme.The issue is immediately resovled.
