BE IT RESOLVED, that the Paterson Public Schools acknowledge receipt of andaccept the Monthly Financial Reports for July 2005; andBE IT FUR<strong>THE</strong>R RESOLVED, that the Paterson Public Schools hereby incorporatesthe Monthly Financial Reports for the fiscal period ending July 2005, as part of theminutes of this meeting and note the public discussion of same for the minutes; andBE IT FUR<strong>THE</strong>R RESOLVED, that the School Business Administrator be directed toforward to the County Superintendent the minutes together with the Monthly FinancialReports; andBE IT FUR<strong>THE</strong>R RESOLVED, that this resolution shall take effect upon its adoption.Resolution No. C-7WHEREAS, Paterson Public Schools are required by New Jersey Administrative Code6:23-2.2(a) to prepare monthly Financial Statements; andWHEREAS, the School Business Administrator has prepared and presented the BoardSecretary Report A148 and the Report of the Treasurer A149 including the cashreconciliation for the month of August 2005; and now thereforeBE IT RESOLVED, that the Paterson Public Schools acknowledge receipt of andaccept the Monthly Financial Reports for August 2005; andBE IT FUR<strong>THE</strong>R RESOLVED, that the Paterson Public Schools hereby incorporatesthe Monthly Financial Reports for the fiscal period ending August 2005, as part of theminutes of this meeting and note the public discussion of same for the minutes; andBE IT FUR<strong>THE</strong>R RESOLVED, that the School Business Administrator be directed toforward to the County Superintendent the minutes together with the Monthly FinancialReports; andBE IT FUR<strong>THE</strong>R RESOLVED, that this resolution shall take effect upon its adoption.Resolution No. C-8WHEREAS, approval is being requested to revise the Early Child Program Aid (ECPA)budget for the 2005-2006 school year; andWHEREAS, the Supreme Court ordered the implementation of full day, full yearpreschool service for resident three and four year old children in Abbott districts; andWHEREAS, the Department of Education staff completed a comprehensive review ofthe ECPA plan and budget; andWHEREAS, the ELIC (Early Learning Improvement Consortium) report for year threereflects the general condition of the Paterson Public Preschools in several domains,including literacy and math; andWHEREAS, the ELIC reports’ findings identified areas needing improvement; andWHEREAS, the district plans to standardize materials and curriculum in the preschoolcenters; and now thereforePage 36 11/9/05
