BE IT RESOLVED, that the Paterson Public Schools acknowledge receipt of andaccept the Monthly Financial Reports for July 2005; andBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Paterson Public Schools hereby incorporatesthe Monthly Financial Reports for the fiscal period ending July 2005, as part of theminutes of this meeting and note the public discussion of same for the minutes; andBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the School Business Administrator be directed toforward to the County Superintendent the minutes together with the Monthly FinancialReports; andBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution shall take effect upon its adoption.Resolution No. C-7WHEREAS, Paterson Public Schools are required by New Jersey Administrative Code6:23-2.2(a) to prepare monthly Financial Statements; andWHEREAS, the School Business Administrator has prepared and presented the BoardSecretary Report A148 and the Report of the Treasurer A149 including the cashreconciliation for the month of August 2005; and now thereforeBE IT RESOLVED, that the Paterson Public Schools acknowledge receipt of andaccept the Monthly Financial Reports for August 2005; andBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Paterson Public Schools hereby incorporatesthe Monthly Financial Reports for the fiscal period ending August 2005, as part of theminutes of this meeting and note the public discussion of same for the minutes; andBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the School Business Administrator be directed toforward to the County Superintendent the minutes together with the Monthly FinancialReports; andBE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution shall take effect upon its adoption.Resolution No. C-8WHEREAS, approval is being requested to revise the Early Child Program Aid (ECPA)budget for the 2005-2006 school year; andWHEREAS, the Supreme Court ordered the implementation of full day, full yearpreschool service for resident three and four year old children in Abbott districts; andWHEREAS, the Department of Education staff completed a comprehensive review ofthe ECPA plan and budget; andWHEREAS, the ELIC (Early Learning Improvement Consortium) report for year threereflects the general condition of the Paterson Public Preschools in several domains,including literacy and math; andWHEREAS, the ELIC reports’ findings identified areas needing improvement; andWHEREAS, the district plans to standardize materials and curriculum in the preschoolcenters; and now thereforePage 36 11/9/05
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education approves $500 per classroom bededucted from each Provider budget for a total deduction of $117,500 from 20-211-200-321. This money is being transferred into the instructional supplies line 20-211-100-610and will be used to purchase instructional materials for each Provider classroom.Resolution No. C-9WHEREAS, the Paterson Public School District solicited proposals for TemporaryEmployment Services, PPS-142-06; andWHEREAS, the Paterson Public School District encourages open public bidding forgoods and services; andWHEREAS, the Paterson Public School District recognizes the need for obtaining thelowest responsible bid for goods and services; and now thereforeBE IT RESOLVED, that the Paterson Public School District awards a contract, as perthe attached bid summary, for Temporary Employment Services, PPS-142-06, for the2005-2006 and 2006-2007 school years, to the following vendor:Joule Staffing Services295 Pierson AvenueEdison, NJ 08818Not to exceed $50,000.00Resolution No. C-10WHEREAS, the following route listed below has been previously approved by the StateSuperintendent of Schools and affirmed by the Paterson Board of Education for the2005-2006 school year; andWHEREAS, route EHS2 was cancelled; and now thereforeBE IT RESOLVED, that the following route with Murphy Bus Company is cancelled witha credit as follows:Murphy Bus Company, 262-270 Goffle Road, Hawthorne, NJ 07506Route EHS2 Eastside High School with a credit of $16,685.76BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this action is authorized by the State DistrictSuperintendent of Schools and is ratified by the Paterson Board of Education.Resolution No. C-11WHEREAS, the following route listed below has been previously approved by the StateSuperintendent of Schools and affirmed by the Paterson Board of Education for the2005-2006 school year; andWHEREAS, route FLS1 to Felician School needed an aide added; and now thereforeBE IT RESOLVED, that the following route with Murphy Bus Company is addendumwith an increase as follows:Page 37 11/9/05
