Brown: How many colleagues would like to make a statement at this point?Comm. Santiago: No disrespect, but we are elected by the people and we do ourhomework monthly and we get complaints in and complaints out. Every Board memberhere has a right to speak. We hear everybody’s concerns. Some people out there wantto hear our concerns and our input, including when you have 48 students in a class, soon and so forth. So when they tell us to go into executive session, where is thatleading? We have to wait until next month and now you have to add more to ouragenda. We had maybe two or three things to speak about and now we have six. I canbypass my speech and I can put it in writing. The pen is mightier than the sword.People here have a right to know exactly what is going on with their children. If not I willput it in writing. Comm. Vergara, if you want to speak you can do that.Comm. Atallo: I would like to make a suggestion if it is agreeable with the Board. Itappears some Board members would like to make a statement. I would like to make astatement. Could each Board member limit their statements to two minutes and keep itshort? This way everybody can make their point, get it across fast, then we can go intoexecutive session. Is that a reasonable compromise?Comm. Brown: I think it is an awesome compromise.Comm. Atallo: Okay.
