Education is key in the process of acquiringand maintaining sufficient safe blood in the country, as it provides in<strong>for</strong>mation on who can donateblood, and also on who cannot donate blood <strong>for</strong> whatever reason (e.g. medical condition, lifestylebehaviour risk, etc). Numerous educational initiatives are employed to ensure that regularblood donors become accustomed to a culture of safe blood donation and to ensure a committedand safe blood donor base <strong>for</strong> the future.
