They regularly return with abounty of fi sh including snapper, dhufi sh,cod, groper, tuna, Spanish mackerel,samson fi sh and dolphin fi sh.Pelican FeedingEach morning at 8.45am, Kalbarri’sresident pelicans head to the grassed areaon the foreshore near the Grey and WoodStreet intersection for their breakfast.Volunteer guides meet the pelicans withfi sh, allowing onlookers the opportunity tofeed these majestic birds their breakfast.The tradition started with a local Kalbarrifi sherman who cleaned his catch andthrew the scraps to the pelicans. Thepelicans became accustomed to theirbreakfast being served on the foreshoreand have been waddling up the beachever since.Jacques PointJacques (pronounced Jakes) Point isrenowned for its superb reef break,considered one of the best surf breaksalong the Mid West coast. Waves breakalong the point, allowing spectators on thebeach close up views of the surfi ng action.This break is best suited to experiencedsurfers.
