Settings28Handset settingsThe following features are for the handset only and theinstructions are carried out using the handset menu.Select baseYou can use this feature if you've registered your handset to twodifferent bases.1. Press Menu, scroll to Settings and press OK.2. Scroll to HS Settings and press OK.3. Select Base is displayed, press OK.4. Press or to select the base (Base 1-4) and press OK.Display contrast / Handset name1. Press Menu, scroll to Settings and press OK.2. Scroll to Display and press OK.3. Handset Name is displayed, press OK. Either: press Clear todelete the current name. Enter a new name and then pressOK to save.Adjust the display contrast to suitdifferent lighting conditions.There are 8 levels.Set a name for your handset,e.g. Donna or Office.OrScroll to Contrast, press OK. Scroll or toselect the contrast setting and press OK.4. Press Back to return to the previous menu level.Auto answer1. Press Menu, scroll to Settings and press OK.2. Scroll to HS Settings and press OK.3. Scroll to Auto Answer and press OK.4. Press or to select On or Off and press OK to save.5. Press Back to return to the previous menu level.As long as you have auto answer setto ON you can answer a call by liftingthe handset off the base. If you haveswitched auto answer off, you willneed to press as well.
