As a sign of our reconciliation with God and with one another let us now offer oneanother a sign of peace.61. Lord, I thank you and praise you: for all that you are, for all that you have done forme, for all that you will do for me in the future.62. Dear Lord, I would like your love to flow, more and more, to everyone I meet. Maywhat I say, or do, each visit I make, each letter I write, each prayer I say, make adifference to someone’s life.63. Lord God be my way, be my direction, most of all, be my love, keeping my visionfixed on yours.64. Help me, Lord, to see with your eyes, to look on people, especially when they’reneedy, with your point of view. Help me to see beyond pain and tears, to your sufferingin your people. Help me also to see beyond intolerance and the many faults ofothers to their need for love and friendship.65. Dear God, help me to know your care and your presence and to see my suffering assomething I can grow through; and help me not to become bitter. I ask your help forothers too, (think of people now who suffer and for whom you want to pray ….) givethem consolation, a sense of your care and your presence in their sufferings.66. Lord, help me to know myself as you know me: depending on you for life and forbreath, knowing you love me for who I am.67. Words we’ve heard so often: this is the greatest commandment, love God with allyou are and all you have, your neighbour as yourself, and then, finally, love others asGod loved you. Lord, help me to die to selfishness and to love as you love.68. Lord I’m sorry: Sorry for the many times I’ve failed you. Sorry that I’ve not alwaysused the strength which would have enabled me to do so much better. Sorry forwrong tendencies in me which I have been slow to reverse. Sorry for everything thathas hurt your love- and your expectations of me. Please forgive me.Page 8Page 25
