THE OBJECTIVES OF THE MISSION
� Universal access to public services for food and nutrition, sanitation and hygiene
and universal access to public health care services with emphasis on services
addressing health of women and children, universal immunization and reduction
of child and maternal morality.
� To undertake architectural corrections of the health system so as to promote
policies for strengthening the public health management and service delivery
system in Union Territory, Chandigarh.
� Prevention and control of communicable and non-communicable diseases,
including locally endemic diseases.
� To revitalize local health traditions and main stream AYUSH into the public health
system.
� To achieve population stabilization, gender and demographic balance.
