Valld’Hebron Universidad Autonoma,Barcelona, Spain. He also servedas head of diagnostic radiology atthe same institution prior to hisretirement in 2010. Cáceres studiedmedicine at the University ofSeville and graduated in 1965. Hethen travelled to the United Statesand completed his residency anda fellowship at the University ofCincinnati. He was later appointedassistant professor of radiologyat the University of Kentucky. In1971, Caceres returned to Spainand worked in Madrid, Valladolidand Barcelona. He has publishedextensively and is a member ofmany scientific societies. He is alsoan active and long-time member ofthe European Society of Radiologyand at ECR 2013 he will receive thesociety’s Gold Medal.JohannesLammerVienna, AustriaGold MedallistJohannnes Lammer is vice-chairmanof the department of radiologyand director of interventionalradiology at the Medical Universityof Vienna, Austria. He earnedhis medical degree at the Universityof Vienna Medical School andcompleted his residency at KarlFranzens University Graz, Austria.He has held visiting fellowshipsat several American institutionsincluding the University Hospitalof Pennsylvania, Philadelphia; MDAnderson Cancer Center, Universityof Texas; and the Universityof California in San Francisco,U.S. Lammer’s scientific interestsinclude CT/MR angiography ofcoronary and peripheral arteries;endovascular treatment of peripheralarteries, aortic aneurysmsand dissections, carotid arteries;interventional treatment of HCCand liver metastases and biliaryinterventions. At ECR 2013 hewill receive the Gold Medal ofthe European Society of Radiology.Maximilian F.ReiserMunich, GermanyGold MedallistMaximilian F. Reiser is professorof radiology and chairman of thedepartment of clinical radiology atLudwig Maximilians University ofMunich, where he is also dean ofthe medical faculty. Reiser receivedhis medical degree from the sameinstitution he now heads and completedhis residency at the diagnosticradiology department of theTechnical University of Munich.He has previously served as presidentof the European Society ofRadiology (2010–11), the GermanRadiological Society (2005–07)and the European Society of MusculoskeletalRadiology (1995–96).At ECR 2013 will receive the GoldMedal of the European Society ofRadiology.Preliminary Programme EdiciÓn Invierno | ECR 2013 147
