He has authored or coauthoredsix books and more than170 scientific papers. His researchinterests include cardiovascularimaging, interventional radiology,CT imaging and MR imaging. Hehas delivered more than 150 lecturesat international and nationalconferences and at ECR 2013he will deliver the Josef LissnerHonorary Lecture entitled, ‘MRguidedfocused ultrasound: a newstring to the radiologist’s bow.’Jean-FranÇoisGeschwindBaltimore, MD/United StatesHonorary LecturerJeff Geschwind is director of cardiovascularand interventionalradiology research at the JohnsHopkins University School ofMedicine. Geschwind, a nativeof France, received his medicaldegree from the Boston UniversitySchool of Medicine in 1991. Hethen completed his residency indiagnostic radiology at the Universityof California, San Francisco in1996. He completed his training incardiovascular and interventionalradiology at Johns Hopkins andbecame assistant professor in 1998.Geschwind’s research has focusedon hepatic cancer and other malignanciesand he is responsible forthe creation of a dedicated centrefor oncologic interventions atJohns Hopkins. He has authoredor co-authored more than 250scientific articles and abstractson interventional oncology. AtECR 2013 he will deliver the WilhelmConrad Röntgen HonoraryLecture entitled, ‘Interventionaloncology: the era of moleculartargeted therapy.’LuisMartí-BonmatíValencia, SpainHonorary LecturerLuis Martí-Bonmatí is head of theMRI, CT and abdominal section ofDoctor Peset University Hospital,Valencia and chief of radiology atQuirón Hospital, Valencia, Spain.His research interests include MRand CT of the liver, clinical applicationsof MRI, contrast agents, andimage processing. He has authored198 scientific articles listed inPubmed and 52 book chapters.He has served as president of theEuropean Society of MagneticResonance in Medicine and Biology,and the Spanish RadiologicalSociety.
