<strong>McLeod</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>Chronicle</strong>, March 20, 2013 HORIZON Page 9Photos by Karin Ramige CornwellChrist Lutheranproject nearlycomplete, dedicationset for April 14After many years of planning thenearly $1.2 million expansion project atChrist Lutheran Church in Glencoe it isnearly complete.One of the main focuses of the projectwas to make the facility more accessiblefor all who visit.<strong>The</strong> main entrance was expanded andmoved from Knight Ave. to the southside of the building off the parking lot.An elevator was added to make the facilitybetter handicap accessible for allthree levels of the church. Until now,one would have to use the outdoor rampand move outside to get from one levelto another.A conference room was added as wellas an expanded narthex to accommodatefellowship for the congregation andworship overflow.Audiovisual equipment has beenadded and updated.Access to the downstairs fellowshiphall has been enhanced and much neededstorage added.A dedication celebration is plannedfor April 14, from 2-4 p.m. <strong>The</strong> afternoonwill start with a short worshipservice with special music, tours and refreshments.
