The smoke andheat channels can be controlledindependently for day/night operation withintelligent data being evaluated by theProtec Algo-Tec 6000PLUS interactiveprogrammable algorithms. These sensors react across the range offire products from large visible particlesfrom smouldering fires to open flamingfires producing very hot smaller particlesand are therefore suitable for use in allsmoke detection applications. Theenvironmental conditioning algorithms canbe selected to filter unwanted alarms andenhance performance.Sensor Sounder - The Protec Algo-Tec6000PLUS/OPHT/SL sensor is equippedwith an integrated loop poweredelectronic sounder with threeprogrammable sounder tone options, constant, pulse or warble selectable by thecontrol panel along with adjustable volumecontrol. A loop short circuit isolator is alsoincorporated within the head. The sensorsounder tones are compatible with the fullrange of Protec 6000 electronic sounders.Sensor Beacon - Compliance with DDAlegislation is assisted by the addition of theProtec high intensity LED beacon to warnthose with hearing impairments or in noisyenvironments. The beacon utilises a highintensity LED with lower powerconsumption and increased reliabilitywhen compared to alternative indicators. The beacon is located in the centre of thesensor, so can be viewed from all angles.A D D R E S S I N G S A F E T Y S Y S T E M S W I T H I N T E L L I G E N C E

Each Algo-Tec 6000 deviceis manufactured with a unique serialnumber factory programmed (firmwareembedded) and device label. The labelincludes the serial number on two barcodedsegments, two of which areremovable by the installer (one is a spare). The label is attached to an addresslocation booklet, which is handed to theengineer prior to commissioning. Duringcommissioning the engineer scans theaddress location booklet to download theloop, address and serial number details. The downloaded data is then checked andstored within the secure non-volatilememory of the control panel and theaddressing is complete. FAST and easyeliminating troublesome and timeconsuming setting of address cards andDIL switches. FAST addressing is moresecure than ‘SOFT ADDRESSING’ andeasier to extend or amend, allowinggreater flexibility and reduced costs.RVAVRVAV (Remote Visual AddressVerification). Once the system has beenFAST addressed the correct location ofeach Algo-Tec device can be easilyidentified, using the device’s in-built LEDto indicate the device address number. The LED has a simple coded pulse, makingit quick and easy to count. Because thecontrol panel sends the RVAV signal toeach device, the RVAV walk test isconfirming that the devices are correctlyaddressed and correctly communicating.As-fitted Drawings and device labels canalso be checked during RVAV walk test, without the disruption of activatingdevices commonly associated with othertypes of system.BASE Options:6000PLUS/BASE- Low profile common mounting base6000PLUS/FFBASE- Fast fixing semi recessed baseNote - base options above are included in theproduct approval.007LPCB ref. no. 201x/03Company Policy is one of continuous improvement, we reserve the right to change specification without prior noticeProtec Fire Detection Plc, Protec House, Churchill Way, Nelson, Lancashire, BB9 6RTTel: 01282 717171 Fax: 01282 717273 Web: www.protec.co.uk Email: sales@protec.co.ukN ??-???-??
