32 <strong>Biopac</strong> Student LabPASTE MEASUREMENTS TO THEJOURNALSet Measurement PreferencesChoose the menu commandDisplay > Preferences >Measurements to generate theJournal Preferences dialog.MAC: <strong>Biopac</strong> Student Lab >Preferences > MeasurementsReview the options thatdetermine how measurementsand wave data are pasted intothe Journal.Check:Include measurement nameInclude measurement unitsInclude measurementparametersClick OK to accept anypreference option changes.Journal Preferences options control how measurements and wave data areformatted, when pasted directly from the graph window to the Journal usingthe Edit > Journal submenu commandsYou can also set general text options for the Journal in Preferences. To set thetext word wrap option, right-click anywhere in the journal text entry region.Choose the JournalPreferences.For this tutorial, select the “Auto-paste result in independent journals” optionunder the Journal Preferences, so that data pasted into the Journal will be easilyidentifiable.Set MeasurementsSet a measurement box for CH1 BPM. Choose CH 1 as the selectedchannel. Choose “BPM” as themeasurement.Set a second measurement boxfor CH1 Delta T (Time). Choose CH 1 as theselected channel. Choose “Delta T” as themeasurement.From the pull-down menus in the measurement box,choose CH 1 as the selected channel, and BPM as the measurement. TIP: If the channel you wish to measure is the active channel, you canset SC (selected channel) as the channel to be measured.From the pull-down menus in another measurement box,choose CH 1 as the selected channel, and Delta T (Time) as the measurement.
