It hasreplaced Social Class based on Occupation and Socio-economic Groups (SEG). Managerial and professional –include large employers and higher managerial occupations, higher professional occupations and lowermanagerial and professional occupations. Intermediate – includes Intermediate occupations, small employersand own account workers. Routine and manual – includes lower supervisory and technical jobs; semi-routinejobs; routine jobs; and never worked and long-term unemployed.
