It provides the trainees with the basicknowledge required to use electrical measuring instruments.This is done by teaching the theoretical component andexecuting the necessary experiments in the laboratory.Trimester 3Credit Hours 2ContactHours(h/w)LP 4TGeneral objective of the course:The course aims to enable the trainees to understand the fundamentals of electricalmeasurements and measuring instruments. It also enables the trainee to use the different measuringinstruments efficiently.Behavioral Objectives:The trainees should be able to:1. Identify the construction of the different measuring instruments.2. Use the different measuring instruments.3. Read correctly the different measuring instruments.4. Identify the construction and the connections of the watt-meters and KWHmeters5. Measure power using the two watt-meter method in three phase circuits.6. Identify the construction of the oscilloscope7. Use the oscilloscope as a measuring device8. Identify the construction of digital meters.9. Measure electrical quantities using digital meters.10. Use Wheatstone and Maxwell bridges in measurements.11. Identify the construction of potential and current transformers (P.T. & C.T.).12. Use the P.T. and C.T. in measurements.13.
